I do not believe Lambert or Sokoudjou will necessarily guarantee more PPV buys than Irvin and I am not sure they would deliver a more exciting fight either. They're really good fighters though.

This UFC definitely wasn't one of their the best shows by far. It wasn't 'bad', maybe good to average for the most part. The energy of the crowd was pretty amazing but the in-cage activity wasn't the stuff that makes for 'fight or the year' candidacy. XO SQ

The odds would favor Jones, who (to me at least) is...a light years "better boxer" than Henderson, Franklin, Marquardt or really ANYONE Anderson has faced. I applaud Silva for trying to broaden his PR range, even though this match will most likely never happen (I doubt the UFC contract would allow it/if SIlva gets KO'd in a boxing match it hurts the image of their "world" champion).

As you already said, anyone can be beaten. But it is unlikely that Fedor will be beaten in the next 6-12 months. He is THE superior MMA fighter.

Hi Paul, Yes, start ASAP as a journalist. I worked as editor for one magazine for over 5 years (for no money), then was a columnist for Black Belt for 3 and then editor of another. I've written for most of the major maga actually. I have also trained in martial arts, coached, trained and cornered fighters, worked as an actor & fight choreographer in movies. That's how I did it. Many people think "Hey, I know the terms 'armbar', 'stuff a takedown' and 'It's All Over" and think that's all there is too it...until they get in front of a camera crew on live TV and freeze.
